At this time of year we have to say goodbye to a lot of people who have been part of our school. Mrs Millard has spent this year in Y5 to complete her teacher training, and we wish her all the best at her new school, and thank her for the time she has spent with us.
Mrs Morgan (pictured with the lunchtime staff) has been with us for 31 years in a variety of roles, and has for a long time been chief lunchtime supervisor. She has helped thousands of children in her time at the school, and we wish her all the best in her new life in Shropshire, and we would like to express our gratitude for her hard work and dedication.
Finally, we say goodbye to all of our Year 6 children, who are heading off to many different secondary schools. We wish them the best of luck at their new schools, and hopefully we will see them again at some time in the future.
School will re-open at 8:55 on Tuesday 5th September. We hope everyone has a happy and safe Summer holiday.

Year 3 have had a great day being Superheroes today. We’ve been drawing, painting and modelling, and we’ve had great fun! Thanks to mums and dads who’ve helped with costumes.
Well done everyone who’s been taking part in Walk to School Month this week. We’ve had lots of ticks in the Door-to-Door challenge, and we’ve noticed fewer cars around school in the morning. Well done everyone, keep it up! Walk to School Month continues for the next two weeks.
Walk to school month starts on Monday – everyone will have a card to record their journeys to school and the children are aiming to be able to tick off as many days as they can.
The school has been awarded the silver award for our work promoting road safety with the children and parents. Thanks to everyone who has been supporting us.
We would like to remind parents that, for the safety of our children, they need to park safely. Enforcement officers will be around school for the next few weeks looking for inconsiderate parking and will be issuing penalty charge notices of £70. You can read further advice on parking on the attached images.
The school photographer will be visiting on Tuesday 13th September. Family group photos can be taken from 8:30 am at the junior school. All children will have their photograph taken during the school day.
Back to School tomorrow (Tuesday 6th September)! School will be open at 8.55 am tomorrow, we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back and greeting our new Year 3 children. It’s time to check that you’ve got everything ready for tomorrow – PE kit ? Book bag ? Lunch box? Dinner money ?
