The Year 3 children had a SUPER day today! Dressed in their superhero costumes, they created life size villains, miniature superheroes and over-sized comic strips. Thank you to all the parents who helped their children create such magnificent costumes.
Year 3 have had a super smoothie making day. After tasting and deciding on their flavours earlier in the week, today the children were able to finally create their superhero beverage. Washing the fruit, cutting up strawberries, pouring in juice, adding the ice cream and blending altogether. They all enjoyed tasting their smoothies, with many saying they would make more at home! The children have worked hard on evaluating their final smoothie and creating posters and packaging, with class 2 even devising a class poem!
THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT!!!
Last term, with your generous contributions, we raised £420 towards some musical instruments.
I am happy to report that, with the money, we have purchased 15 Ukuleles and a Junior Drum Kit, all to be used during your children’s music lessons in school.
I have also started a choir that will be running on a Tuesday night after school till 16:15. If your child is interested in joining, please speak to me and I’ll get all the necessary details from you.
Once again, thank you for your support.
Mr Peckett – Subject Leader for Music.
Yesterday, Year 3 enjoyed a lovely picnic at the Tiger Field to celebrate the end of the year.
The staff would like to take this opportunity to thank parents for their support in helping the children reach their full potential throughout the year. We would also like to thank the parents for their generous gifts.
We wish the children of Year 3 every success as the move into Year 4.
At this time of year we have to say goodbye to a lot of people who have been part of our school. Mrs Millard has spent this year in Y5 to complete her teacher training, and we wish her all the best at her new school, and thank her for the time she has spent with us.
Mrs Morgan (pictured with the lunchtime staff) has been with us for 31 years in a variety of roles, and has for a long time been chief lunchtime supervisor. She has helped thousands of children in her time at the school, and we wish her all the best in her new life in Shropshire, and we would like to express our gratitude for her hard work and dedication.
Finally, we say goodbye to all of our Year 6 children, who are heading off to many different secondary schools. We wish them the best of luck at their new schools, and hopefully we will see them again at some time in the future.
School will re-open at 8:55 on Tuesday 5th September. We hope everyone has a happy and safe Summer holiday.
Well done to all of the children who have been entered for their Arts Award Explorer Level. As part of their project they decided to script and record a short video telling you what Arts Award is all about.
