Thank you to all the parents who attended this morning’s Maths workshop. We hope you found it informative, interesting and fun.
We would like to remind parents that, for the safety of our children, they need to park safely. Enforcement officers will be around school for the next few weeks looking for inconsiderate parking and will be issuing penalty charge notices of £70. You can read further advice on parking on the attached images.
Bonjour! Hallo! Ciao! ¡Hola!
The whole of Delves Junior School has had a wonderful today on our annual European Day as part of our Modern Foreign Languages work. Year 3 have had a great time learning about France and have had a native French teacher working with them today, Year 4 have thoroughly enjoyed finding out about Germany, Year 5 have had a thrilling time finding out about Italy and Year 6 have loved learning about all things Spanish.
Everybody has enjoyed tasting new foods from their country and taking part in all sorts of fun games and activities as part of the day. We were all highly impressed with the outstanding effort children and parents had gone to in creating costumes for children to wear, well done and thank you for all your hard work and support! We’re sure the children have had a super day, so take a look at a few of the photos of the different things that have been happening around school today. Merci, danke, grazie, gracias!
Our Spring 2 creative curriculum activities and parent information are now available on our website. We hope you enjoy trying some of the different activities and learning all about the new topics. We will add links to the topic homework when it is available. Enjoy!
We are very pleased to announce that the Autumn 2 Creative Curriculum on-line information is now live.
Have a look at our suggested activity pages for ideas of fun ways to learn as a family. Perhaps you could try one of the days out or do one of the fascinating science experiments?
Parents can read through the parent information sections for each project to learn a bit more.
We also have links to copies of all the project homework sheets for years 4, 5 and 6.
As you know, over the summer a major remodelling and refurbishment programme was undertaken in Lower School. We are still working on the ‘finishing touches’ but each day brings us closer to the completion of the project. There will be an opportunity to look around we when we feel everything is finished. We are all really pleased with our new environment.
