During their trip, the children used and extended their knowledge of the ‘Water Water’ topic through activities such as pond dipping and a river study.
Year 3 had an enjoyable afternoon making their own mosaics. They were planned, designed and created by the children. They all worked super hard on their creations!
Here are some fantastic examples of the masterpieces created today:
Year 3 have had a great day being Superheroes today. We’ve been drawing, painting and modelling, and we’ve had great fun! Thanks to mums and dads who’ve helped with costumes.
Year 3 and Year 4 held a joint Talent Show this afternoon – all we can say is “wow!” and well done to everyone who took part. Here are some photos and we’ll also add a couple of videos to our Facebook page.
Bonjour! Hallo! Ciao! ¡Hola!
The whole of Delves Junior School has had a wonderful today on our annual European Day as part of our Modern Foreign Languages work. Year 3 have had a great time learning about France and have had a native French teacher working with them today, Year 4 have thoroughly enjoyed finding out about Germany, Year 5 have had a thrilling time finding out about Italy and Year 6 have loved learning about all things Spanish.
Everybody has enjoyed tasting new foods from their country and taking part in all sorts of fun games and activities as part of the day. We were all highly impressed with the outstanding effort children and parents had gone to in creating costumes for children to wear, well done and thank you for all your hard work and support! We’re sure the children have had a super day, so take a look at a few of the photos of the different things that have been happening around school today. Merci, danke, grazie, gracias!
Year 3 have been blowing bubbles this afternoon. We have made bubble blowers, using lots of different materials. Then we had a competition to find out whose bubble blower was the best one. We had great fun, and we only got slightly wet! Here are some photos of some of the best bubbles blown.
Today we have been playing games as part of the NSPCC Big Board Day event. We would just like to say a huge ‘Thank You!’ to all parents, staff and children for their wonderful support.
We have raised an outstanding £195.05.
Thank you all for your continued support.
